Blue Sombrero is a leading provider of online registration, custom website design and club management services for youth sports organizations across more than 40 states nationwide.
The company partnered with Eurosport to integrate an online Club Store on the youth soccer club's website so parents and club’s members can purchase the soccer gear from the same catalog as found on Eurosport's soccer.com. The club also earned money back from every purchase made in the Club Store.
Blue Sombrero also partnered with AppTheory, a web development consultant that creates portal solutions based on DotNetNuke and SharePoint platforms, to help develop custom Club Store features and provide web graphics and print materials.
I worked with the engineering teams at AppTheory to design and implement user interfaces of the online store. I also worked with the CEO of Blue Sombrero to design and implement email templates, create web graphics and print materials for the company.

Blue Sombrero’s online registration and website development services were built on DNN platform (formerly DotNetNuke). It is an open-source content management system (CMS) based on Microsoft .NET. It has earned popularity as an easy-to-use platform for website development with many scalable features. One of the main features is the extensions or modules that can be easily plugged into any DNN portal without having to change the core code of the DNN platform.
The Club Store was developed by the engineering teams at AppTheory as an independent component or module which can be installed on the club’s websites provided by Blue Sombrero. It can be configured and managed through the platform’s administration user interface, making it convenient to use for both developers and club’s administrators.
